I thought that the B17a1 had the same comperssion as a B16a1 (10.4:1)? I might be wrong...

Well, you ARE wrong, TWICE. The B16A1 was NOT 10.4:1, it was 10.2:1. The B16A2s and 3s were 10.4:1. As far as the B17A goes i have found two sources, one says 10:1, and the other says 9.7:1, either way, BOOST IT.

the old school GSR motor is a good motor, my friends got one in his 93 civ coupe. runs really quick with few mods, go all motor with that beast.

its 9:7 1...pretty low compression.

do you plan on keeping it 1.7?

id say if you stying all motor, get a b18c block, some p30 slugs and some ctr cams youd be pretty good
