Default Will this throw the crank balance off??

I have a h22 longblock, and there is a little stud that comes out the of the crank to hold the flywheel on the crank. I was wondering if I cut that off would it throw the balance off of the crank?

Let me know. Here is some pics of what I am taking about. Thanks Guys.

you dont want to cut that off dude, especially since it holds the flywheel to it, looking for trouble, im not too sure on the balance thing but my guess would be yeah because think about it being balanced with it on there, small amount of weith adds up to big weight when spun fast enough

that is to line up the flywheel....because you use the flywheel to do the timing on an h22...(the little window on front of motor that has rubber piece covering it)

Im making a adatper plater for a B series tranny to go on a H series block, the H series flywheel is too big in diameter, the H series is 12 inch in diameter and a B series is 11 1/2 in diameter. I have to use all B series parts so it will work. That is why I was asking if I could cut it off, so I could put my B series flywheel on.
Make be better off drilling a hole in my flywheel instead of cutting that pin off.

if you heard that b-series trannys will fit on h22's... you must be able to do that how else would you make it fit unless you buy a custom flywheel..I dont know
