Last friday I bumped into an Acura 3.0CL I think it was a 2000. A little bit of the paint scrathed off near the rear liscense plate. I told the guy that I would pay cash so that it wouldn't go in my insurance (because I am already paying $200 a month) The guy took it to an "Acura certified" body shop and they quoted him $535 to fix it because they need to repaint the whole bumper 7 times and bake inbetween each time, which would take 2 days to do. I am thinking WTF that is way too much for just a small area of paint missing. I already tried asking the guy if he will take it to another body shop and he said no. Do any of you guys know any "Acura certified" paint shop that can maybe cut me a deal. I am a college student and I really don't have a lot of money. Thanks I really appreciate your help.

 

U can take it to Dians hi Glow on nebraska (they did my car & it looks perfect) But this guy must be an ass if he does not want to take it somewhere else....

Fuck payin him what he wants.Take it to another shop and get an estimate or get someone to look at it.That is waaay to high.

 

yeah but if he does that then the asshole will probally want to go through insurance and he will still have the option of getting it done wherever he wants. i have worked for a body shop before, my dad owns a body as a matter of fact and in no way should it cost that much. 200 bucks tops would be what my dad would cahrge, maybe even less cause he would prob blend it in to the bumper.
