Yes thats right.

Ok 1slowcrx lets just think about it for a second:

a)the ys1 acura integra GSR 90-93 (b17a1) which is a cable tranny

b)the ys1 acura integra LS 92-up (b18a1) which is hydrolic tranny

So if the sticker is YS1 and the tranny is cable then its a GSR and if the sticker is YS1 and the tranny is hydrolic then its a LS. So the sticker would actually help tell what the tranny is hence thats what the hell I find out when I "go by the sticker" a little more than jack shit.

hey janky1 jsut so u know your answer "b)the ys1 acura integra LS 92-up (b18a1) which is hydrolic tranny "

you are wrong on that 92 93 they made 2 different cable ys1 trannys one for the gsr and one for the ls two different gear ratios

94 and up integras have hydrolic trannys not the older tegs

92 -93 = cable trannys doesnt matter ls or gsr
94and up = hydro trannys

no way to know without opening it up and counting teeth or by putting it in a known gear and turning it over by the input shaft and counting how many times the differential spins with respect to the the input shaft. To do this you have to do some math first.

i went through the same thing but it was the other way around i bought a tranny that i thought was an ls but it was a gsr and it said ys1 as it does on both i consider myself lucky to get a deal like that but with a ys1 gsr at 3000rpm's in 5th gear you should be going exactly 60 mph

I believe you have the ys1 (LS) tranny. If it's the GSR tranny, you should be at 3500rpm...the us tranny you're at 2895.
