a supercharger is mostly ideal when you have to get out of a tight turn faster than your turbo'ed opponent, a.k.a Endurance races in mountains...

a turbo charger is mostly ideal for long straight roads(more or less)....and yes you can change the spooling time to make it get up quicker and matching a superchargers ability out of a turn....

if I was Betting on 0-60ft time, I guarantee the supercharger will win 98% of the time, now if its like 1/8th, or 1/4 mile, id bet turbo...
...
ok, this is officially GHEY now that i have posted....it all comes down to..."do i want to jump the line faster(meaning you have more motor than the other guy)....or do i NEED Big boost(to match a freakin 400c.i. motor)

allof which you justsaid is totally useless, take a SC GSR and a Turboed GSR and ill rap you in the SC GSR all day HP is HP no matter how you get it ! Its not always the car and what engine it has its got alotto do with the driver behind the wheel and what he can do with his car and engine ! mountain racing ? we live in florida for christ sake !!! where its flat for the slow turbos to not work in corners !

gysmo you need to lower your compression and re-enforce your internals! the charge will show you alot better #'s but be sure to tune the beast! you might get away with 6psi or so. what is ur exact setup?

turbo with all the right go fast parts (intercooler, internals ect) shoul turn better # than the charger but the charger will give you more down low. do u want torque or a little lag and some RAW power up high to help vtec? me? i'm thinking of turbo myself on my s2! doing shit the right way might cost a little more but isn't your baby worth it? ha,ha Overlook shit and run your car like an andretti bro then by buddy works for a good tow truck recovery company. he'll pick you up in a matter of time! peace

you r right spyder but good luck getting all of that turboed hp + torque down to the wheels. if your turbo has ANY size you will probably have lag at lower rpm's - besides who will boost above 15psi between 2 - 4,000 rpm in 1st or second gear? i have a friend who wrecked his supra before he could set the torque curve on his boost controller. he hit second at 3,500 rpm and 1.1 bar of boost and lost it. i will admit the kid couldn't drive for shit but crazier shit has happened! the charger is good for a girl, or someone who wants a little pep in their step. more of a even gain in hp and torque rather than a sudden "boost". no pun intended. better #'s almost always come from the turbo. the trick is to still have control!!!!!!!!
