I have a 96 hatch and what i think is a 98 LS.(B18B1) i have two sets of B series mounts one i know came from a GSR and the other one is unknown. all the mounts line up just fine between the motor and body but the one between the cam gears. I have two b series and one D series. the D series bolts up to the b18 just fine.(its a two bolt desgin) and of corse sence im using the D series mount it works with that too. but its out of alinment. motor does not sit straint in the bay. one of the B series mounts wont bolt up to the motor becouse it is a 3 bolt design but it has an offset design that would set the motor correctly if it would bolt up to the motor, the other b series will bolt up to the motor just fine but the two studs wont line up with the other part of the mount. and even if they did the motor would still be in an odd position.

basic question is. what mount combo do i need to put in the front of the motor?

 

im pretty sure you can use all the mounts from a 99-00 si and maybe some of your stock mounts.....

 

well 5 out of 6 mounts from the LS worked great. was just that front mount that was from the old motor bolts up fine, just positions the motor wrong.

 

all u need for the driver side mount is the 99-00 si bracket(triangular shaped)
