LS/VTEC Turbo??????

Default LS/VTEC Turbo??????

ok im reading all these posts about not going ls/vtec.....(keith) but i was planning on running ls/vtec turbo why shouldnt i...... wouldnt i be able to run more boost w/ the ls bottom end opposed to the gsr because of the lower compression? otherwise im gonna go b16b

Having a lower compression engine doesn't enable you to run more boost in some way, it just takes more boost to make the same power as a "higher" compression engine at a lower boost level. The one limiting factor in an LS engine, in any application, will be the poor flowing characteristics of the head. Better flow is one determing factor in making more power. A b16b, has a cr of 10.8:1, where some would argue would be a little high for a turbo application. There are definitive advantages to each engine (b18b, b18c, b16), which would suit you best, depends on the specific application and your expectations for power output, or range and placement of power band.

I know TK at ZMR has one in his interga and Dave has one he's been driving with no problems

theres nothing wrong with ls/vtec as long as its build right and built strong enough for its power output

i heard he broke down the other night(not engine related though)what happend?

Is everyone talking about different things? No one said there was anything wrong with an ls/vtec setup, if it is done right.

also i herd sone blew his shit up on his way to oklahoma??

he must be pissed,man i hope he rebuilds!
