timing belt broke what to do

you did because the d16y8 head has less compresstion & is taller than the d16z6 head.. I snapped a few of sohc T-belts & no harm was done to the head..or valves..put a T-belt on & go from there........
the extra head he has now is the d16y8, the car still has the original d15 motor in it. also, his water pump was about to take a shit, would that of had anything to do with it?

don't waste your time listening to these people. just get a new engine. chances are a valve probably dropped and your engine is fucked and would cost just as much to fix it(ie. hone and bore walls, replace pistons, new head all new valves springd and retainers) just get a new engine.

Yeah when the water pump kicks the bucket they like to lock up, Heres a picture of an Si block&Timing belt from a CRX thats water pump went bad.

I just did a mini me swap. Right now i hava oil leaking out of the dizzy dont know why. Here is a pretty good link on how to do one and the stuff you need. http://crx.honda-perf.org/articles/z6swap/z6swap.html

the combustion in the y8 is like a b16 head
but whatever, I had a Z6 motor that ran strong,then I put a y8 head on & it lost power,dyno proven......... doesnt matter really,
this guy just needs to fix is timing belt.....

so a y8 head on a z6 block sucks then ?? that was my next thing i was going to do put it on a z6 block
