valve noise help!!!!

Default valve noise help!!!!

sounded like valves were tapping so i adjusted them...now it seems they "tap" every once in a while...could it be lost motion assemblies? need help

What did you adjust them at .006intak,.007exaust ?
it can difficult on dohc vtec heads,

yes those were the specs i used...but every once in a while it will tap then go away then tap etc...

does the lost motion have tension ?the one that is making noise?

take the mostion out & push on itw/ your hand & compare w/ the rest...........it will have tention as same as the rest........
IM thinking its Not that ,but what do I know.........

you cant remove the lost motion dampners the are part of the spring assy. recheck your specs, make sure you TDC each cyl exactly, belt does have play in it. be super sure you tighten the valve bolts TIGHT. Just at idle or under a load ? Check oil ? Check well thats about all you can check unles you have a bad spring. how many miles ? what engine ? give me some details !!!!

oh check yur tiimng belt. Slip a tooth ? stretched ? when was it changed last ?

b16 1st gen...brand new toda timing belt...timing dead on...new oil right at full mark...taps occasionally at idle and while revving...somone told me if its the lms'a when vtec turns on it will go away...i dont know
