87 CRX ingintion problems

Question 87 CRX ingintion problems

There is a yellow wire coming from the ignition that came loose last night and the car will not start at all... also there is a harness loose also from the ignition... where do they go i can not find a place for them... what else could make my car not even turn at all ? i shorted out the speedometer wiring yesterday when i hit metal when i was fixing it could that be linked anything would help i will try and get pictures on my gallarey asap

Its really pissing me off i just got new exuast on it yesterday !

Well, for one I am sure you blew a fuse. You need to figure out which fuse it is and replace it.

How and Why is all your wiring loose any ways?

And when you say harness...are you referring to a plastic casing that has multiple wires coming out of it? lol Sorry to inquire, Im just making sure we are on the same page. So I can be more of assistance.

Under the dash all the fuses are straight they are not blown is there anywhere else i can check for fuses ? But the main wire that is hanging down im taking an educated guess by saying its the accesory wires from the ignition. and its coming straight from the ignition. There is a harness hanging but it looks like it was to a previous alarm system. But would the accessory wire affect the starting of the car or would it be possible when i made sparks fly when touching metal with the spedometer cable i shorted the starter out??? I have pics just give me a second to upload

There should be fuses under the hood as well.

Does the yellow wiring that is loose have any other colors on the wire... ex. yellow with red stripe or white with yellow?
