I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

i never had a complete exhaust finished on my 4g, i had 2.25" custom piping back to a ricer muffler and a shitty busted up header. then when i got my dc 4-1 put on it was the 2.25" back to a stock muffler.

i never got around to putting the es oval on it but from everyone i know thats had it and everything i read, its a nice muffler. the cars ive heard them on sound great and its not a loud ricey sound... more of a low deep tone.

Get a muffler that is straight thru with nothing sticking out in the way of the flow and get one the model that weighs the least for maximum weight savings...That is just me...

If I wanted a muffler for say a 04 BMW 745il, then I would choose something along the lines of the Magnaflow Turbo mufflers that produce a deep but subtle sound compared to a race designed "N1" style canister...

I have an Apex'i N1 full catback on my car, with silencer. I like it alot. It's pretty loud without the silencer, but with it in, its barely louder than stock.

I'd check out the N1 if I were you, as long as you get the silencer.

Apexi WS is quiet too, but doesnt free up as much horsepower as the N1
