Buy a service manual or find one & make copies on the vtec solenoid inspection procedure.

On a 2000 you're vtec solenoid should not need to be touched :-/

well what should be wrong with it? its a 2000. practically new. if you don't know where it is you shouldn't touch it. Also if you remore it there is a gasket on it that has a filter for the oil in it..make sure you replace it.
