Default ----Have a question about blockguards------

Im curently building a motor. But for now I wanted to see if i could but a blockguard on a ls block..and run some boost with nos??? The block will have eagle rods and je pistons..Would the motor last with me runing like 13-18psi and a 100 shot or more.
Would it hold up with just nos???Or can I throw my turbo kit on it too?? So my question really is can i make high hourse power on a blockguard?????

Thanks Darren

fuck no. you might a few passes on lets say 15psi and a 100 shot. thats assuming it managed to get tuned on that without blowing up. youll need some after market sleeves and valves to hold all that boost and nitrous consistantly.

a blockguard wont help much, if you skip the N2O it should hold(tuned properly), w/o better sleeves. But if you want both do what 99b16si said.

The head has aftermarket valves...Could I just go nos..With the blockguard??? I know someone who has a ls motor runing 18psi and a 100 shot and runs 11's in a hatch..But hes crazy..I would be happy just spraying nos..If I was just going to spray on it..How much would i be able to spray?? I know I can spray 100 cause I've seen people spraying 100 on stock blocks..

someone awhile back posted that they ran a 150 wet shot on their stock gsr and went threw 30 bottles before problems...worn piston rings... If you got some decent piston rings and good tuning it will last but for how long is up to how much you beat on it....
