wheel studs
i broke a wheel stud ont he way to work today so i gotta replace them....its not hard is it? i have an old spindle with 4 good ones so i planed to just use them but can i do that? they just screw in right? sorry the questions might seem stupid but i've never done it before.

do i need to take off the spindle tho to do it? i was hoping not to have to do all that work

If you broke a stud off the front, you will have to remove the whole spindle and hub as one piece, then you have to take it to a shop to have them press the hub out of the spindle, then they will tap the stud out and pull the new one in...If its in the rear, then you can easily just hammer it out, put the new one in and tighten it into place with a stack of washers and your lugnut...
You may be able to get to the front stud while everything is on the car, but you will see that only 1 or 2 can be accessed and the rest will be blocked...
