I am also burning or loosing oil on my 99 GSR. I am not blowing any smoke and do not think the car has lost power.

Is it normal for the rings to be worn at 70,000 miles on a car that has been well maintained? If I do a compression test, what is the normal range for the cylinder pressure?

No, but exhause has a strong smell. I thought the smell was because I have no catalytic converter.
