KJ: It was an alternative to dropping sleeves, not blowing them out. I have no doubts that both GEM and Dart are great companies. However sleeves fall out sometimes. 
Can you imagine spending 15K on a motor, built from the ground up, and you get through with the break-in... bring it to the track to see what she'll do... and BOOM SNAP BANG POP!!!! you drop a sleeve. There goes 11K of your motor.

You don't want iron. It cause your motors to be alot hotter. We are lucky domestics love aluminum blocks thats why that pay so much money for merlin motors. They disapate heat alot faster. Less heat Less detintion.
