Default pinging !!!!!

i just got my car tuned last friday. he advance my ingintion to 17 degrees. if i give it gas at low rpm below 2,000 it will sometimes pinp. but though out the power band it doesn't. i have an accord euro r mani and the iacv went bad on it. so i just zip tied a h22 to the fire wall and pluged it in so i would stop thoughin the code. do you think that because it is not bolted it up to the mani that could be why i am pinping? i realy don't want to have to back down my timing across the power band because of this. but if i have i will

Just back it down a couple degrees I guess. Did you try adding fuel down low?

yes i am using 93. Glen tuned my car at hybrid performance. i was afriad that was what you were going to say.

so you think that iacv has nothing to do with. i am making a adptor plate for it so it will be on there soon.

Bump up the fuel pressure if you don't want to retard the timing...Run 93 as you have been doing and make sure the fuel system is clean...If you knock the timing back a degree, you will not notice any change in power as your motor is mild and the detonation on cast pistons can lead to damage in short time...
