Default LS/VTEC Problem

OK well I finished my LS/VTEC swap yesterday and I have ran into a few problems. IM running a B16 head and ITR manifold. When I started the car it did not want to idle, not like an IAC problem but it would idle really low then shut off. So I adjusted the screw on the throttle body and adjusted the throttle cable. Still would die. Thought it might be a vacuum leak. I checked every line on the manifold. Nothing seemed out of place. I did notice that when I remove the vacuum line that goes to the FPR that it would idle fine. I put the line back and it would die. I thought that maybe it could be the ECU so I take the P61 out and swap in my P75 to see if that might fix it, and it idles great with the P75 and the FPR vacuum line on So what could be the problem? Anyone have this problem before. IM stumped

if u pull off the vacuum line to the regulator and it idles fine, one could only assume the it needs more fuel. if u have a fpr or afc, raise the pressure or %correction, if u dont, go get one

Also, if you have a vacuum leak the car will idle high not shut off...I agree with checking and bumping up your fuel pressure at idle...

Well I figured it out. It was the ECU. For some reason my car just wont run with the P61. I tried a JDM P72 and a Chiped P28 with the Skunk2 Prog. They both ran and idled great, but for some reason the P61 seemed to pull harder. Dont know at least i got it to run right.

hello i have a 2000 civic Si and a LS/Vtec engine.
my question is that i am running the Si head and i have
ferra valves and zex valve springs and retainers.
i have had this set-up for almost a year and now i am having a
problem. when the engine is at an idle it sounds sine but
as soon as i rev it a little or start to go i have this sound like the valves are smacking. i have check the adjusting screw on the valves and nothing was loose. i was wondering what the problem might me.
i also check the timing belt and that was a little loose but i fixed it and the sound is still there. please help
