The T25 is a JUNK turbo.. You can buy one in good condition for anywhere around 50-200. Personally i would not get one for more than $100.

If you are just looking for a cheap turbo get the mistu. 14b...Great little turbo, and can pick up for around or under $100.
I'm not sure what you can do about a manifold.

your car will not be able to support much boost without internal mods. Maybe 5-8psi just to be safe. Personally I would not run much more boost than that on a stock LS motor.

P.S. Please dont forget your fuel system!!

and quite a few times, as i remember. get a 14b or better.

It sounds as if your friend wants to go with a turbo kit that boosts like make power as if it were a supercharger...

The T25 on the 95up Mitsubishi Eclipse is known as the T-too small...It will run out of steam very early on in your RPM Band...

That being said, I will think it will be perfect for your friend's stock LS...

The main reason I say this is because your friend wants to boost his power up a little more than any N/A mods will accomplish and adding a small turbocharger will increase your torque from the minute you step on the gas throughout the whole powerband...With the size of the T25, you will make most of your power between 2500-5000RPM and then your torque curve will fall off as you approach top end...It does this in the stock Eclipse, which is running 8.5:1 compression...Your LS is at 9.4:1 Compression...But the Eclipse is a 2.0liter and your LS is a 1.8liter...Now, the only way to make power, reliably,
is to add fuel to supplement the additional Oxygen...A Vortech FMU or similar Rising Rate Fuel Pressure Regulator is invaluable in this case...You also need to "hide" the boost from the MAP sensor and you will need to have some control over ignition timing to avoid any unwanted detonation...

You need to use some form of intercooling to control the compressed air's temperature...This will also make power...You will need to address the exhaust...Running a large 3" downpipe will be sufficient but obnoxious if you don't run it back into a muffler...With turbos, the bigger the exhaust the better...

Gauges you will need should consist of Mechanical Fuel Pressure for under the hood, Electrical Oil Pressure, Boost, EGT for monitoring your Exhaust Temperature or a quality A/F Ratio Gauge...You can add other gauges to monitor more of whats going on under the hood if you have the funds...

An MSD BTM is invaluable for the control over your ignition while increasing the strength of the ignition at the same time...

There is always room for improvement when you boost on a budget and money should be spent on a quality tuning session with the use of a Lambda to monitor the A/F ratio as you tune...

The HKS Turbo Manifold for the B-series is flanged for the T25 and someone on this post has the T25 with a Manifold for the B-series for sale...

Good Luck,
Zee
