Default starter problems

heres the deal. I just put a b16 in my friends crx. I used a ls cable tranny and a 91 ls starter. When I try to start it all it does is make a clicking noise. every thing is hooked up. I dont know what the hell to do. Any ideas?

Dead battery, bad ground. Those two things I would check first.
