Default AEM Air Bypass Valve

I just bought a cold air intake off of Ebay. ( Dirt cheap not to mention I'm on a budget ). To play it safe I want to buy an air bypass valve. My question is, what do I connect the bypass valve to? The bottom of the intake where the filter is, the middle because it is a 2 piece pipping cold air, or right next to the TB. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks David

I would say in the middle. You dont want it next to the filter because it you go through a deep puddle the bypass valve will be under water too. If you put it in the middle (between the 2 pieces) then it will be away from the water.

Thats where I would place it and isn't the whole purpose of it to protect the engine from water?

Actually I think the bypass valve is designed to only work when fully submerged under water. So putting after the filter is probaly your better solution(assuming thats how its SUPPOSED to work..check out AEM's site to make sure).

No the Bypass valve is suppose to work when the filter is submerged under water. If the bypass valve is under water then your engine is going to be sucking in water.
