Oh, for sure. At this point, I agree. Not much better to exchange coal emissions for gasoline emissions.

The electric vehicles of the future will likely be fueled by hydrogen (or some other source), but... they'll be electric, not internal combustion.

The current crop of hybrids and plug-in (to coal-fired power) electrics are just a stepping stone for what's to come.
