Just keep putting money away. Racing is not going anywhere. The way technology is going. If you wait you will have a crazy setup...

Leon--if you have a good flowing exhaust, then spray it with safety first and start to build a stronger block WHILE you are having fun with 100 economical ponies.
Here is a stock bottom end dyno :
Cool huh Scott???
Yes, this is with TEA (stage 1) heads and a TR cam, but I sprayed a 150 shot to 468 rwhp on the stock heads/cam with just headers and lid. Granted we are talking ls1 and lt1, but my point is, n20 will give you a very economical hp increase, and if done right (I have only been spraying this car for 3 years ) will last a very long time.
Scott Ive seen a killer turbo 302, 1500hp, ran 8's. Bad ass hell but thats just a tad out of the budget for a college student dont you think?
Dan Ive been asking doing some more research and there are a few LT1 guys who are running 480-550wrhp with heads/cam with either 100 or 150 shot.
Check out these LT1's putting down 390-420wrhp with moderate hydraulic cams and heads. http://www.advancedinduction.com
With my current set up a 100 shot should get approximently 430wrhp and torque im not sure of... probably 30-60 more ft lbs than the hp.... But of course i want to do heads too.....
One step at a time.. Im going to do some touch up work and tranny mods on the car first. I really dont want to blow the shit up though.

Well if you can settle for a mesley 650 r.w.h.p. and 820 r.w. torque from a stock shortblock (minus cam) 302 I could show you a combo that can be had for around $5K.
