This is why American muscle kicks ass (specially chevy).... and still get gets 25+ miles per gallon on the highway.

Sounds like a pretty stout T/A. He should come down here and run Al.

Big cubes means no need for boost. I gotta get me a stroker. Anybody got $6k lying around that they don't need?

QUOTE from BADBIRD1 (Owner of said TA):
"At NO time did I have anything coming from my tailpipes, except maybe carbon. I have a well built LS-6 (ZO6 motor) stroked to 382ci (6.3) with all the goodies (heads, cam, forged internals, ect.) It makes over 600hp, and even more torque. It's funny that NOS is mentioned. I have a kit sitting in the garage for installation shortly. I figure an extra 100 hp or so will make things even more overkill. I play with exotics and motorcycles on 280 most weekends."

hes completely full of shit about the 600 hp NA.
If that was crank HP MAYBE. Most from a 382 stroker Ive seen has bee about 460 at the wheels.

Yeah 600 at the fly is pretty high.. That means he's getting 510 wrhp at 15% drivetrain loss.
Well low 400 wrhp is doable with a heads/cam package on the LS1's. Thats close to 500 on the fly. Im sure he means 600 flywheel hp. Probably around 560 and rounded up

strokers dont make much more power than stock internal motors at peak. the tq overall is a bit better. i say FI or nitrous LS1.

I think the most even the solid roller cam strokers have put down to the wheels is about 500.
