lastly (damn i am writing a book here), i used to drive my TA daily with a hotcam and then went to the bigger cam, but really if i drive it 3 days a week, it is only a few miles from my home to where i have to go. i still have stock heads, but that doesnt effect drivability anyways.
Thanks. No, I run them consistently... in fact I've never been to the track on a cold day, so who knows, maybe if it was cool or cold, I could drop another .1-.2! Those came with the lid, muffler, Nitto's, and LCA's and PHR. I guess realistically, LT's should be my next mod... I already have the LS 6 intake, since it's a 2002, so I guess I have to open the exhaust some more. I'd love to do H/C, but frankly I can't swing that type of cheese right now, plus like I said, it's my daily driver, and I put an average of 175-250 miles a week on it.

Whats the dealy yo , yo?? or in english whats the diff in these two??

The difference is the Lobe separation. The higher the LSA the less lopey it will be/idle smoother, and there will be more torque lower in the powerband.

Help me out guys if I am off.

114 is very smooth for an aftermarket cam in these ls1 motors. i wouldnt personaly pay 430 bucks for a lunatti cam anyway, that is a ripoff IMHO. go comp cams and pay 375 all day off the net.

also i dont know about better low end tq, the dynos on the 112 and 114 (T1, B1 cams if i may) are extremely similar and if anything, the 112 LSA is a bit tighter and will produce more peaky tq readings and the 114 will hold the power out beyong 6200+ rpms a bit better, but very small differences in real world. i love the 221 duration cams.

oh and LTs are a great mod, esp for street and track needs. a pulley gave me a solid .1th and 1mph consistenly. pulley is a great mod. i would say gears, but 10 bolts are junk.

I'm thinking... so maybe I just hold out for a bit, and get some LT's and a pulley. I should be hooking pretty good, once I get the rest of my suspension done.

5.3 heads, fat cam, long tubes. You will put well over 400 to the ground all day long.

Then spray it.

Actually no, but not because of drivability. I really enjoy driving it, and I am still in the can't stay out of it stage. I drive a 99 Civic (I'm a phat ricer yo) because my job involves driving a territory from Naples to Merritt Island to Gainseville, nearly 3000 miles a month. A big area to cover, and I did it in the SS for a while, but the gas $ I save alone, pay's most of the note on the Honda. I also do not like putting a ton of miles on the SS, as it just turned 30kafter 3 yrs / 8 months of owning it. 7,000 came in 2 1/2 months on this job.
