Default Ford guys your short lived domination is coming to an end

If you can call the 03 Cobra domination More like stepping up to the bar for once. Anyways the new C6 will be out soon and I gurentee the Camaro will return one year after. Looks like the engine will still be an LS1 derivative. But it also looks like it will have even more cubes than before. Also It looks like Caddy may be getting there V12.. Here is some leaked RPO codes for new GM engines part designations. Note the 6.4 liter all aluminum LS7:o Then down at the bottom a few V12 options as well. Note the V12 is a DOHC

Screw those big nasty gas engines. Gas is getting way too expensive. I want that 7.2 litre one that runs on caterpillars. I've got a ton of those in the back yard.

Can you trade it in on next years model?

Not that you would want too, but lets say you did....could you?

Its great that these cars and engines will be out soon...but the real point of my post and the thing Im most happy about is that the LS1 base motor will still be around for years to come in production cars and trucks. Now with different combinations of block with more cubes and possibly even better revised heads....modding an LS1 is going to get cheaper and easier. Instead of having to go to MTI and pay $2100 for a resleeved 382 ci all bore motor...we will just order one from GM for $900. And the aftermarket will continue to embrace the LS1 as the "hot item" where the money is. LS1 is progressing at a fast rate...very similiar to the 5.0. Now we need to get some big $$$ sanctioned races for LS1s so the real serious R&D can take place.
