sbc timing

Default sbc timing

i was doing the timing chain and the crank moved when i was taking off the timing gear b4 i got to mark them now im stuck can anybody please help

there should be marks on the new sprockets

if you have a aftermarket or a double roller chain there should be 3 marks on the cam gear. line the circle on the cam gear to 6 o clock and the crank to 12 o clock. hopefully it helps.

now i cant get the gears with the chain on any advice????

your supposed to put the crank sprocket on first, then wrap the chain around the cam sprocket then slide the cam sprocket on to the cam.
