i have a 89 s10 with a sbc carbed with a 700r4 its a toy im working on and need help installing the tv cable 2 the carb and adjusting it right now i have it zip tied and it shifts like shit and is starting to slip before it would bark the tires

sounds like you answered your own question... The TV cable is not hooked up correctly and the transmission is eating itself. You need the correct bracket on the carb, not a zip tie.
