You might manage to get it off the pump without one, however not likely to get it installed too well without the kit, its like $30 deposit at autozone, go get it, do the job, return kit, get $ back, no headaches, no retardation.

Sure, the ones that come with the pump, which dont work worth a shit, the actual kit has a bearing that the bolt threads into, which lets you actually install the pulley, instead of fighting with it. Plus he's likely to tear up the pulley yanking at it with a gear puller.

Rather than going to the store, letting them hold onto $30, getting the job done right with minimal headache, returning to store, getting said $30 right back, and being out $0, and eliminating much pain in the ass.

Advance might have the kit also, at any rate, if you just get the pulley kit from them you really arent doing any business with them since you only have to let them hold the $ till you bring it back
