Been daily driving mine for 3 years. Other then the window motors going its not bad. I also race it on weekends so all those breaks came under racing not DD. And after three years of racing the only things that broke were the Trans and the rear gears. Its got 135,000

its a really solid car until you start seriously beating on it. Snowman is right.... your biggest gripe is gonna be the window motors and maybe the chance of stipping the plastic gear on the headlight motors.

oil pump on early LS1's....replace with ls6.
rear ends suck...buy a 9"
M6 tranny slave cyl's seem to go from time to time....supposedly drill mod works, but aftermarket bleedable slave assy. works aswell.

Just to add on to what everyone already said. These are mainly cosmetic defects that are common in LS1 Fbodies.

The sail panels have a factory defect. The paint begins to bubble over time as the epoxy they used to glue the sail panel to the car bleeds through it.

The door panels always crack on on the top near the rear of the door. It's the way the window stripping is attached to the door that puts stress on the plastic every time the window goes up and down that causes it to crack.

The seat belt holders/guides always break. $15 from the dealer and an easy fix.

Belt tensioners go out often. It causes the serpentine belt to squeak horribly.

The rear taillights are prone to condensation and water intrusion. Makes your taillight look like a fish bowl and usually causes the reflecting coating inside the light to peel away or flake and makes the taillight dimmer.

The fog lights and front turn signals are also prone to condensation and water intrusion.

Pretty much what they said. I have Heads/Cam. With a good tune it is very streetable. Since, I have replaced Knock sensors and ported TB, so the tune is a little weak...

Ive seen alot of later year F's with fog/turn lights out, even when they were only a year or so old. Hell the fog lights on my J got water in em. Solved the problem by drilling a small hole at the bottom of the light so the water drains.

Someone mentioned the headlights, I havent seen as many 4th gens with that problem as the 3rd gens, they were terrible.

plus 1 window motors and headlight gears strip

on my last Trans Am, I took the motor apart and flipped the nylon gear, when they strip only one half strips and the other side is still good.
