Default Fuel pump location on '96 Z28?

Ive looked thru shbox.com and no luck. Need location of fuel pump on '96 Z28 m6. Thinking its in the fuel tank but not sure. Also, if anyone can tell me how to go about replacing it, I would be forever in your debt. Thanks

yes it is in the fuel tank. only way you are getting to it is either dropping the tank or cutting an opening a few inches behind the rear seat.

why not cut it? unless it is a collectors item then who cares? you can put a hinge on the door and the carpet covers it up. i have 3 friends who did this with NO issues what-so-ever. dropping the tank is gonna be a lot more work.

Cause its just stupid, if you arent going to take the time to do it the right way, you probably shouldnt be the one doing the job.

FYI I can have the tank on the ground, without harming anything in 45 minutes.

if you cant change a fuel pump properly, what makes you think that you can cut into the floor of a car above a gas tank properly. just do the job right so its done 1 time.
