How much are you looking to spend. a local buddy of mine buys wrecked cars and could score an ls2. Thanks mike

expect to spend around 6k for a complete gto ls2 dropout. you will most likely have to source the t56 yourself. i've actually debated spending what i have saved on a cammed ls1 with a ls6 throttle body and intake manifold. it would make roughly the same power for far less. just depends on he application and your overall hp goal. but good luck!

Paid $6500 for my LS2/T56. That was from a local, private seller, and I considered it a GREAT deal.

Cool thanks for the info, anyone know a good place to check out for a montor? I don't mind even getting a 350 over my 305 just need something I can upgrade from and dont want to spend the time or money on a 305 motor.

Also any places that buy decent motors? or trades? I wont need the 305 after swap!

We do LS swaps here and expect the upper part of your budget for just a LS2engine and trans if your lucky. They are up there in price. That will not include fuel system parts, mounts, driveshaft, wiring, cooling sytem parts, intake parts, exhaust, accessories that may need relocating if interferes while mounting, etc. LMK if I can help
