im workin on a pontiac trans sport van,

just put new fender on it, new bumper, new axles, etc.. was in a wreck.

everything works now and it runs strong but smokes... what would be the cause of this? should i change all the oil out and put a new filter on?

if it smokes all the time your burning oil or your piston rings are screwed.

if it smokes on start up its most likely valve seals or valve guides

and the smoke in my sig looks more bluish, therefore its oil and not just carbon or anything else

so its either what I said or Pdubinator, but like he stated its more if its doing it all the time

do a compression test, and a leak down. that will be able to differentiate much better than our guesses online, and what color the smoke might look ya know what i mean
