Default Whats involved v6 -v8 swap

2000 fbody v6

Wanting to convert to a v8.. What body mods need to be done. Just k-member??

Check out FullThrottleV6.com - The V6 F-Body, W-Body, and N-Body Tech Source. You basically need the whole front clip of an LS1 Fbody, tranny if you have an M5 or the bell housing if you have a 4L60e, and rear end.

yep k member and all..its worth it if u are building a race car then u are putting light weight parts in her and doing the suspension anyways..

if not just get a reg z28 or ss

What's really involved is selling the V6 car and buying a V8 car. It's easier and cheaper.

if you're swapping in a built motor, you're gonna have to pull the motor anyways
if it's a dd and you're swapping in a stock LS1, just buy the v8 car unless you've got a cheap/free shell and a motor/tranny/harness lying around
