Chevy transmission ?'s
Well, I plan on building a Supercharged 350. For a all around racer/street car. i know the T56 is a good trans but im not looking to spend that much on a tranny. And What im really wondering is what would be the best setup for my car, and the plans i have i guess.

well, to put any wondering aside and give you the plain facts about it, do it right, or do it twice. or 3 times, or even 4. T5's are junk for the power you want to make.

t-56 is not good for more than 400hp in stock form. and a t-5 is crap... and yes a t-56 will bolt to a older 350, (lt1 t-56) whats so bad about doing a 4spd? a muncie or borg warner... cheap and can hold lots of power...
who's had experience with t-5's ?? in stock form they may be weak but with a some better internals they would work just fine, and be half te cost of a T-56. Ive seen them run behind big blocks all day.
and the T56 will take alot more then 400hp, i was doing limiter launches on slicks when i was making about 525whp (475rwtq) and never had a single issues with it.
