Default Anti-Theft LOC on my stereo?

So wtf, my car loses battery power so my stereo goes into LOC mode? Now the dealer wants 40 dollars to take it out, run the serials, and give me a code? Come the fuck on!

Someone help, how do I get around this crap since I don't know what the car's code was set as?!

Have the dealer run a key code check off the VIN. Should give the radio/BCM code up for ya.
Good luck.

Off MyMonte.Com

Sound system basics and GM specific sound system information. How do I unlock stock GM cd players?

1. Press and hold presets 2 & 3 for about 10 seconds until the first 3 digits of the display code are displayed.

2. Write the numbers down.

3. Press the AM/FM button, write down the next 3 numbers.

4. Call 1-800-537-5140, when asked, enter 202107, press the # button and enter the 6 digit code from the radio, you will get an unlock code, write it down.

5. Go back to the car, press the HR button and set the first 2 numbers, then press minute button and set the next two last numbers, press AM/FM button, SEC should be displayed, turn on radio.

To remove codes, repeat step 5. you should see --- on radio face, the code is now out of the radio.

if you try it too many times(3-8 don't remember how many trys you get), the radio will go in a "INOP" stage, and you have to wait an hour with the ignition on, for you to be able to enter the codes again(it will say "loc").

"Invalid account number", but I do have 6 digits now that I have no idea what to do with. Any idea on a working account number for that service? I bet thats what the dealers use.

With your new-found 6-digit code, go inside and call 1-800-537-5140. It's just an electronic answering machine. Once the guy finishes talking, press 202108, followed by the *Asterisk* button (not pound).
THERE! That gave me a 4-digit code...but the code is a 3 digit code...Hmmmm...I'll keep trying, I think I've got this ish. Rep for j00!

Edit: Eh, the 4 digit code worked, hooray code! Hooray you. Hooray web people's with l33t numberses!
