12 second 3800 Series II
http://www.mysickcamaro.50megs.com/
With all the banter going on with the debate over the 12 second, FWD, Impala concept, I figured I'd just post this in comparison. A 12 second 3800 can be built, but this is in a lighter, RWD Camaro, and it's got a nitrous injection. N/A in a FWD seems pretty difficult. Plus, look at the price tag on all of those parts!

Hey, I just put it out there to show it's been done and to put a realistic price tag on it. Me, I'd personally just get any given classic muscle car and stick decent gears in the back. My shitty, stock '72 350 SBC with 3.73's has to get close to that.
This is an eye opening thread. By far the biggest arguement for building a V6 is becuase its what they have, and they dont have money for a new car/ v8 insurance.
LS1's prefer heads and cam. And I have seen LS1's go for way cheaper than that.

If you are going to build a 3800 V6, screw NA. Go big or go home...
This kit is $3K and your pushing 400hp
Check this LINK for everything.
