I'll quote you again. @ about 700 lbs less too. There's this thing called "Power to Weight" ratio"

I'll hang w/ a Maxima w/ my 181k mile bolt-on Saturd. No biggie.

Damn I hate being slow. I'm seriously debating buying some sort of V8 F-Body on a car loan and using the money I get for the V6 towards the Mustang project. Only problem being the V8s are just as unreliable as the V6s, if not moreso...*sigh* I just wanna be fast.

Oh yeah, the 3.4L is a joke. I had a 3.8L Camaro for a while, it was cool for a DD, but definitely lacked any kind of power.

A properly built and maintained V8, especially a stock F-Body, is perfectly reliable. The only reason V8's get a bad rap is because of how much they're beaten on. Let's be honest, if you beat on any engine as much as the 'tards on this board beat on their Camaros/Firebirds/Mustangs, shit's gonna break. Need proof? Go look in the Honda Tech forum. You'll see a lot of broken 4 cylinders in there because they beat the shit out of them.

I'm running a stock 1972 half ton 350 SBC in my Camaro. The only thing I've ever done to it was a full gasket kit since the gaskets rotted from being on the stand too long. It's still on stock bearings and rings!

Man, didn't mean to stir up the hater's. Don't take much I guess.
I think the RL is nice, it's fun as hell to drive! Plus, EVERYBODY wants to F with it, while I can drive the Camaro for days and it's like it's invisible.( invisible, not invinceable ). There WILL be some fast RL's in time, but, like the Skittles when they first came out, there was little to no aftermarket for them.
Owning the RL has really changed my view of Saturns. They are getting nicer, and faster all the time, plus it has that cool aluminum"Built by GM Performance Division" tag under the hood that adds 20 whp!
