Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you are saying... Do you mean uncoupled as in the front mount is not stationary and free to slide fore and aft somewhat like the stock arm versus a spherical rod end bolted to a fixed point?

stock tq arm arm is awesome. low 1.5s are not a problem. done it in my car and mine is FAR from extreme. Hybrid/Al went 1.4s in his on a manual tranny.

yes, BMR makes some VERY nice adjustable tq arms. i finally gave in and bought one. now i have to tweak it to get it right.
