Default Sway bar Stripped bolt

ive got a 03 Grand Prix GT with a stripped bolt on the right sway bar near the front. I'm guessing it was overtightened.
I was wonfering if anyone has popped a bigger bolt into the hole to rethread it, or just repositioned the bar.

no. you dont just "pop a bigger bolt into the hole" you drill it, tap it, and helicoil it.

That sounds complicated, would you happen to have a link to details on that special procedure? It bothers me that its stripped =/

what are you not understanding? take your original bolt and go buy a helicoil kit from napa. the directions are on the package

Lol Kenny. U sound so serious. But like Kenny said, all you do is drill the bolt hole out than u re thread it (tap) for a bigger bolt than u put this spring like looking (helicoil) thing inside, and it will create new threads for the smaller bolt (original size) again.
