Well, ok. It also had a stroker crank bolt-on and some 11.5:1 piston bolt-ons. Hehe, j/k...

I might as well ask Rev-X that question, I've been meaning to go check that place out for a while now.

The GTO didn't sell worth crap. First year they made 18000 of them and sold 8000, or some ratio along those lines. That's why they had the second year major refresh, with new bodywork, hood, rear bumper, dual pipe exhaust, swapped the LS2 into it, etc etc. Don't let you fool you, just because it isn't selling well doesn't mean it's crap. It's actually one of the best cars to come out of GM in a while. Even Top Gear loved it, and they hate anything remotely American and also many things Australian. They're great GT cars and they're worth the 30000, they just didn't appeal to the muscle car guys (because they're not muscle cars) and the Bimmer guys won't touch them with a ten foot pole.

I love my 04 but I also know its place. It is an excellent daily driver/corner carver with enough power to maneauver around at stoplights etc... However, it isn't the greatest choice for a drag car. Light drivetrain components behind the tranny and an overly porky weight doesn't help. That being said, I don't think there is a nicer car out there for the price. I got mine brand new with 2 miles on the clock back in October when the dealers couldn't hardly give them away knowing what was coming soon with the 05's. They certainly made it worth my while to take the 04 instead of waiting for an 05 and I haven't regretted it to this day.

I don't understand why it's not... I would think it would have to do with the marketing of the car, I didn't hear much hype about it and it's a pretty sweet car.. styling questionable, but the car as a whole I really like.
