Default Lowered c5 people in here..

I am thinking about lowerin g my c5 on the stock bolts. How many problems do you guys run into with roads or speedbumps that you cant go over? Do you scrap on everything or is it not that bad? Also since I mainly drag the car can you tell a difference in the launching of the car be it better or worse or even the same? I figure it will be a little worse but im not sure how much. I am getting tired of the 4X4 look but I dont want to sacrifice 60' times. So is it worth doing in your personal opinion based on your experiences?

Boostin97SE-R,

I lowered my Z06 on the stock bolts (3) days after I bought the car. I would have done at the dealership if I my jack and mobile tool box. 10X better look in my opinion. The C5 Z06's look terrible without being lowered in my opinion. I actually want to go lower but will probably fill up the remaining wheel well gaps with bigger rims. Still looking for the right wheels to set this Biatch off.

Here are the only down sides I have seen on lowering with the stock bolts;
          If there is a negative impact on your 60', you can probably get it back with some adjustable shocks. I would check the forums (Corvette, Z06) on this one though. I am no where near as knowledgeable with this car as I am with the Impy. Learning more and enjoying it every day though

          I hope this helps Man

          Chett

          Thanks chett, I really appreciate your input. I think I might lower it this weekend and see how I like it.
