A walbro intank pump and hotwire kit are good enough for over 700 rwhp through stock lines. Thats all I had when I dynoed 707 rwhp. He doesnt need to upgrade the injectors since its a wet kit.
Dont forget guys...cam only (yes...a big cam) LS1s with good bolt ons have dynoed over 450 rwhp and have run deep 10s on motor with a very good light weight chassis. Add an intank pump, cam, springs, and a healthy does of juice....9s no problem on a car like that.

When he sais stock untouched heads...I am going to assume he means unported. I do belive he has a cam and valve springs. And of course the regular bolt ons.

There is a local cam only vette LS1 making 400+ rwhp with unported heads and a mild cam. It also makes 610 rwhp on juice. That kind of HP can easily go 9s in a good chassis.

The heads and intake manifold have
NEVER been off the block
Let me first say I am not trying to start anything and yes, I was mainly questioning the size of the kit. However, this morning I was telling my wife about this and that we should get an LS1 for her Chevelle, then it clicked. Can you swap a cam in an LS-1 without removing the intake? I've never worked on one, but I would assume it is like any other small block and the answer would be no. If not, then how much of what this guy says are we to believe?

Go to LS1Howto.com. No you don't need to pull the intake. Also keep in mind that the car is a stripper that weighs just a hair over 3000. There ar lots of 3400 pound cars with bolt ons and a cam running mid 11's so take that 400 extra pounds out of the eqaution and ther is your answer.

I know you didn,t know thats why I gave an honest question an honest answer instead of the smart assed type of reply I would give Moldyhands.

no you dont have to pull the intake or heads to put in the cam. the lifters stay up and do not drop into the pan. it is a really simple process.

as for beleiveability, he ran 10.64 @ 124 through a TH400. yup the car is way light and hooks damn hard. (1.3 on the jug). my TA is a very boring example of a bolton with a cam but my raceweight is a sick 3590 lbs. ran 11.59@ 116 (1.51). and i am not even close as radial on the boltons or setup. bolton no camed cars are running as fast as my car.

Appreciate that, and it was nice meeting you saturday. After looking at the install pictures, I guess the GM guys have thought of everything. Now time to find something really light and get a wrecked F-body from a salvage auction

Find a 73 Vega and drop a heads\Cam Ls1 into it. Add a 12bolt rear and a 6speed and you could run low 10s High 9s and walk Supras over the bridges.
