Default Reliability of LS1

What I want to know is how reliable an ls1 motor with around 60k miles would be. I want to do heads/cam and get over 400 whp. It's gonna be a daily driver, and I'm not planning on spraying it. My cobra was fast, and very reliable, never in the shop for repairs. I basically wanna know if the LS1 would be the same.

I don't think I have ever heard of realibility problems with an ls1 at all. My motor is a 2001 and it already has over 60k and it is just as reliable as when it came off the show room floor IMO.

here is an ls1 owner right here. over 60K of the hardest damn miles you could ever think. 400 passes at the track. countless passes on the street lol. never had issues. the biggest thing with high milage ls1 is keep track of oil consumption (if any) and dont spin it past 6600 rpms if you want it to live long (assuming you have a reason to spin it that high).

corey's B4C camaro had over 100K miles, put in a convertor/longtubes/nittos and ran 12.40s. not too bad for a worn out whore imo.

do the normal upkeep and it will easily live a long hi po life.

104,000 + miles here. Just did a cam swap and changed the oil pump. I have never had any oil usage problems nor has the car ever given me a lick of trouble except for the AC compressor dieing.
