Looks like the new LS6 or LS7 motor (whatever they will call it) will be a 427 from the factory. It will also have revised hi po heads with different valve angle. Probably going to be a large intake valve. BIG intake manifold (same one I held earlier in the year)

Things are heating up at GM for sure. Having a 4.125 bore block from GM without having to resleeve should be a godsend. As well as a near all out race head.

Gigantic exhaust port

Lol...not till my current motor is done. Maybe a 427 with a big giant turbo will be the next project.

Or hell...an mild streetable 427 NA setup making 550 rwhp would be fun as well.

But there are a few logistical things that need to be done to bridge the gap between LS1 and LS2/LS7. Some wiring harness issues. Cams will not be interchangable (crane and comp are making the LS2 cores), and a few other minor things. Those are being worked out by vendors now. Rev Extreme alread has an LS2 90mm fly by wire TB on thier 408. They figured out how to wire it up. None of it will be too difficult. But it will be a lil while before you start to see these builds.

...ya know what, i give the fuck up...im selling the bird, opening a bank account and when like 2008 rolls around, im going to buy a new stang/camaro/gto or some "top" of the line american V8 and boost the fuck out of it...then and only then, would i have caught up to the group...who will then surpass me in probably 1-2 months....its hard enough trying to keep up with you guys, but now the manufacturers are making this things, and anyone with a few bucks and can squigle some lines would own one.

Shit.

I just read the part about cams not being interchangable. I was hoping the General would get this one right and keep everything so it would switch out on the same family of blocks like on the traditional SBC. Are the head bolt patterns, oil pumps and other parts going to be comon to the current Gen III small block?

RX also has a guy to do the wiring harness, same gentleman putting my stock motor back together!
