and if its an auto its prolly gonna take a dump soon...... from my experience chevy auto's only last about 100k and then its just a matter of time before they go out and need a rebuild........
but t-5 t-56's last forever as long as they arent abused/given too much power........ clutch might go out but thats nothing.........
same thing for the lt1's (from what i've read) they last a while if taken care of.........
you could always just save a bit of extra cash and rebuild it as soon as you get it too........

82-92 have 305 5.0 LG4/LB9 and 350 5.7 L98
93-97 have 350 5.7 LT1
98-02 have 346 5.7 LS1
if you are planning on going with an 82-92 the 350's had larger
intake runners and there was no factory carb'd 350s or if you're
not sure just run the vin on www.thirdgen.org

well that's all opinion
ls1's have more factory hp but cost more upfront and sometimes more to mod

I can't really see much differance between ta's and firebirds
what the differance but I was more drawn to the ta I like the tail and headlights more.

Well other than a few physical differences TA is like the SS of the camaro (im pretty sure) and if u have the WS-6 u have the same motor as an lt1 (or ls1)

93-97 firebird formula is the same as the TA, there could be a few very slight differences mechanically, but basically its the same thing.......
all 93-97 f bodys came with lt1s 98 up f bodys have the ls1
with a few rare ss's and such having the lt4's........(from what i have read anyway)
