Default Flowtech headers????

I'm looking to get these for my wife's LS1. They look pretty good and come plated. Her car is a 01' so does the EGR fittings mount up right? Also, what would be a good y-pipe for it? Thanks. -Mark

heheh you ford people...

01's have no EGR. They do have the AIR thingies and as long as you get it for the right year you are set. Keeo in mind teh build quality suffers the further down the cheapo line yoiu go. But then again a header set is a header set. I didn;t even know Flowtech was making some now.

Eddie, can you tell how much I know about LS1's? So flowtech is more towards the bottom of the line headers? What would be a decent header that's moderately priced? -Mark

For a good cheap header, get a set of coated Pacesetters , BUT do NOT get their Y pipe. Its junk. Coated Hookers still run $600+. Also, Flowtechs have a 3 bolt flange on them. I dont know of a Y pipe that fits yet.

That's likely uncoated. Will rust all the way around and look horrible within the first couple weeks and will probably rust through in some spots within 5 years or so.

If you get those headers make sure you spray them with high temp paint to preserve them a little.

I believe you can get the coated for fairly cheap though
