My new project
I was wondering if anyone around here has ever done this or knows anyone that has so that I could get more info on it. I just bought Bryans coupe (351coupe) and Im getting ready to turn it over to the dark side. Yup it's getting a SBC powerplant. Im just not sure yet what setup I should run, I have so many going through my head, but just cant decide yet. Should I go with a 12 or 13:0.1 comp. forged bottomend with a nice shot of juice, or a lower 9 or 10:0.1 comp. with a blower? The main reason Im doing this is I like the power to weight ratio and hell, Im a chevy guy and love coupes
. Any info or suggestions would be greatly appriciated. Thanks

if it has a 351, as his name insinuates...i say low compression forged motor, and turbo it. none of this mix and match stuff.

what can i say, i like displacement. and thats the biggest factory small block i believe. its really all your preference though.
if i had my choice, i would do a turbo setup, but i am a boost junkie, some people have not had the boosted experience yet and dont understand.

Oh I know boost I had a built SVO mustang(running 23psi) , a turbo coupe, and I had a big 62-1 on my little CRX ( threw #3 rod right threw the block on 8psi), plus my cousin is doing a turbo setup up on his LS1 right now so I kinda wanna go a different route not to mention the cost of a turbo setup for what Im doing, but dont get me wrong its a wonderful thing, besides the lag. lol

or do a 331 and flip your manifolds upside down, fab a Y, slap a decent size turbo on their, up the fuel, and go to town. but yes, i say a efi turbo app over a carb app.
