well, here's the predicament:

weve got a hot shot who thinks he can smoke anything with his 89 vette, and hes talking shit like there is no tomorrow.. in this case, to aaron (filjar4life) who has a 2g eclipse gst, 14b turbo, turbo-back exhaust, fwd, k&n filter, 1g crushed bov..

anyways, just trying to figure out how fast the vette really is..

and at the moment we are hearing that he has a c4 swap.. is this possible? the car is automatic, and we heard him start it up and rev it today, and it sounded absolutely stock and weak.. thanks in advance.

c4 swap? c4 the generation of that corvette. From years 84-96 I think.

Those vettes weighed around 3100-3200lbs .. so it should be mid-high 14s completely stock if it's running how it should.

Where on the engine is there a serial number that will say what kinda motor it is. Ive realized that all 89 model corvettes come with an l98 c4 engine. Sooooo unless he has a swap hes definately not pushing over 260 hp.
