Basically, could I get this to work and if so with how tough would it be?

Ive seen it in GMHP or one of those mags, they said it was relativley easy, but that also depneds on you r knowledge , tools etc. For me it would take a fuggin miracle or my brother stop being a puss about turning wrenches!

i have a LT1 in a 99 so it must be doable.

Now that I've searched for how to do this, I've found that http://www.thirdgenresource.com has a pretty detailed set of instructions for doing this engine swap including what modifications are needed. It also (conveniently) sells certain items that would be needed for the install.

heck yeah it's doable, its easy as hell if you think about it

really minor mods, but here's one, do you need the full drive line or does other trannies work with teh ls1?
